TAMARA HARVEY was founded in 2017 with the desire to create bright, bold and beautiful leather accessories worth their price tag and crafted to last. Born in Devon, England, the brand focuses on designing products which are chic, sleek but also wholly practical.
Fast fashion is rapidly becoming one of the defining issues of our century due to its negative impact on our societies and environment. TAMARA HARVEY is committed to minimising our carbon footprint whilst also offering our discerning customers luxurious, stylish products, and so we only use the finest leather and materials sustainably sourced from England’s top companies.
It takes an astonishing 1,000 years for plastic to biodegrade in landfill.
This is precisely why we only use natural materials.
To curb air miles and shorten lead times, all of our products are handcrafted in Central London by skilled artisans with decades of experience sewing accessories for the country’s biggest fashion houses. Every care is taken and every detail is considered from the initial product design to sourcing sustainable materials, production and to delivery.
The leather is delicately cut according to the design templates, treated and embossed with our logo before panels are sewn together using strong thread. The edges of the leather are then stained in a matching colour - a true mark of thoughtful luxury - and the final construction of the bag begins to take shape. Several weeks later the bags are shipped back down to us in Devon and we begin the fun process of photo-shooting, copy writing and uploading them onto our website.

It isn't enough just to be well-made or stylish.
There has to be a story, a provenance to each product.
Fast fashion thrives on low quality products which creates a throwaway mentality in consumers. Bucking the superficial trends, I design accessories which will still be as stylish next year whilst being practical for everyday use. It’s became all too simple to throw away our garments but by creating luxury products with timeless appeal we’re trying our best to combat this throwaway mentality created by the high street.
The United Kingdom is synonymous with fashion and our designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Mary Quant and Alexander McQuuen have influenced popular culture the world over so it’s with great pride that we call ourselves as a British fashion brand.
We will never outsource our manufacturing.
Nor switch to lower quality, cheaper materials sourced abroad.
When you purchase a TAMARA HARVEY accessory 100% of it has been made in England from the zip to the clasp and even the packaging. Moreover, the leather we use is sourced from animals bred in this country.

OUR STYLE ETHOS
Trends and celebrities come and go but icons lasts forever. As a designer, I have always been inspired by the images of the Golden Age of Cinema, the boldness of the Sixties and the glamour of fifties fashion photography. Here is just a small selection of the iconic women who inspire my design process.
